Tommi Jo Mejer, a 50-year-old mother from Aliso Viejo, California, is facing felony charges after her 14-year son, Ed Ashman, critically injured him while riding an electric motorcycle. The incident occurred last month in Lake Forest. Mejer had been warned about letting her son illegally ride the e-motorcycle before the crash. The victim remains in critical condition. If convicted, Mejer could face a maximum sentence of six years and eight months in state prison.
