Pleasanton, California, has completed a traffic signal upgrade at the intersection of Hopyard Road and North Valley Trails and Arthur Drive, aimed at improving safety for drivers and pedestrians. The work includes new signal poles, updated signal heads, rewiring, and added protected left turn phases for eastbound and westbound traffic. This will be included in the city's upcoming Transportation Safety Action Plan, which aims to align the city with the requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation's Safe Streets for All Program.
