Columbia police have arrested a woman, Lashonta Sullivan, for the murder of Darrin Mitchell nearly a decade ago. Mitchell was found with a gunshot wound to his back and later pronounced dead at Grant Medical Center. Sullivan claims that Mitchell left to go to a bar and she thought he was drunk when he returned home. However, witnesses claim that Mitchell was banging on the front door for at least five-10 minutes and that Sullivan was up for approximately 30 minutes before police arrived.
