Despite needing just one win to secure a springtime spot, the Lakers managed to take control of the game. Los Angeles had a 9-2 lead in the second quarter, and never trailed again. Despite starting five reserves, Cleveland managed to score 19-6 in the first seven minutes, leading to a 27-point deficit in the fourth. Despite this, LeBron James continued to score 14 points, six assists and five rebounds, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most wins by any player in NBA history. The Lakers' performance was highlighted by Luka Doncic's 42 points, 12 assists, five rebounds in 34 minutes. The Cavaliers had six players in double figures.
