NIT bracket 2026: Tournament scores, schedule as No. 1 seed Wake Forest advances to second round

The 2026 NIT continues with several higher-seeded teams advancing to the second round after significant upsets. No. 1 seed Wake Forest defeated Navy 82-72, and will face No. 4 seed Illinois State in the next round. Other notable games included a win over No. 3 seed Yale, and a win against No. 5 seed New Mexico. Only four power conference teams are competing in the NIT this year: Auburn, Cal, Wake Forest, and Oklahoma State. The full bracket will be played on March 17-18, 21-22, and 25th, respectively.
