Madonna, Shakira & BTS to Headline 2026 World Cup Final Halftime Show

Madonna, Shakira and BTS will perform at halftime of the 2026 World Cup final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This marks the first time the FIFA World Cup Final has ever featured a halftime show. The news was announced in a social video featuring Coldplay's Chris Martin, Sesame Street’s Elmo and Cookie Monster, and more from The Muppets. This will be Shakira's second official song for the World Cup, after "Waka, Waka (This Time for Africa)" for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The 2026 FIFA Cup final halftime show is being curated by Global Citizen and Martin, with plans to raise money for children's education on the massive stage.
