French filmmaker Arnaud Desplechin has begun shooting his next feature, "The Thing That Hurts," a bittersweet comedy led by an international cast including Alfre Woodard, J.K. Simmons, Felicity Jones, Jason Schwartzman and Noémie Merlant. The film, executive produced by Wes Anderson, will take place on location in Brussels and Paris. It has been purchased by Gravel Lake Entertainment, Grant Mohrman’s newly launched sales company, which is looking to replicate the original voices of these original voices. Desplechic is one of France's most distinctive filmmakers and has premiered most of his films at Cannes.
