The latest polling on the Iran war has consistently found consistent majorities of Americans opposing U.S. military action in Iran, although Republicans remain broadly supportive of the president's actions. This comes as President Donald Trump prepares to address the nation with an "important update" on the situation. As the war first began, NBC News polling found 52% of registered voters said the U.K. should not have taken military action against Iran, while 41% supported the action. Since then, polls have found persistent majorities opposing the military operation in Iran. Majorities also have also disapproved of Trump's handling of Iran, with approval ratings ranging from the low 40s to mid-30s.
