John Mbuyi, 30, lured his daughter and her mother, Raissa Thatukila, 33, and Nathy Mbuyo, 6, to a stadium parking lot in Haltom City, Texas, where he shot them dead. The attack was premeditated and occurred near a high school. Mbuyei was reportedly grieving the loss of his father and had expressed "concerning thoughts" about death prior to the shooting. He also had significant grievances towards his mother in an ongoing custody dispute. After the shooting, Mbuyee shot himself and died in hospital.
