North Carolina's new head coach, Michael Malone, has been tasked with addressing the team's transfer needs ahead of the free agency period. The transfer portal officially opens on Tuesday. North Carolina's roster currently includes one true, unquestioned stud, Henri Veesaar, who has one year of eligibility remaining and thrived in Chapel Hill last season. Veesasaar's stock remains uncertain amid a deep big man class in the 2026 NBA Draft, but could benefit from this opportunity under Malone's watchful eye. The team also needs a strong guard who can play with a paint-touch guard and a 5-man who can step out and drain treys.
