The first chance for severe weather is expected to occur in Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky over the weekend, with strong storms expected to impact the St. Jude Rock 'N Roll Marathon and the Franklin Main Street Festival. The potential for these storms could impact the start of the festival. The Storm Prediction Center has placed much of Tennessee in a level 2 out of 5 risk zone for potential severe weather. The good news for the drought-stricken state is that the region could receive between 2 and 3 inches of rain through the week.
