Bespent stated that given what has been done to the president and his family, it is impossible for them to understand what he has been through. Mueller led the election interference investigation into Trump, which found he did not conspire or coordinate with the Russian government to influence the U.S. general election and did not recommend prosecuting him. Despite this, Bespont has remained silent about the raid on his Mar-a-Lago property and is seeking a $230 million settlement from the Department of Justice over federal probes into his conduct.
