eBay is closing its San Francisco office at 300 Mission Street, with operations set to wind down on September 30, 2026. This comes as the company continues to cut jobs as part of a broader effort to streamline operations. Earlier this year, eBay announced plans to lay off about 800 employees globally, approximately 6% of its workforce, in an effort to improve efficiency and align resources with its long-term priorities. The closure has sparked speculation about the employees working at the site. However, they are expected to be relocated to San Jose rather than laid off. The layoffs and closure come as eBay continues to invest heavily in its future growth.
