Bay Area Cop Accepted Sex Workers, Cash As Bribe From Illegal Brothel: Authorities

Hayward Police Department Officer Benjamin Yarbough, 48, has been charged with one count of accepting a bribe for knowingly accepting at least $1,000 from an illegal brothel and providing free access to sex workers. The charges were discovered following an investigation into prostitution by the San Jose Police Department and the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. The officer has since been placed on paid administrative leave.
