Florida Republican introduces bill renaming Palm Beach airport for Trump

Rep. Brian Mast (R-Florida) has introduced legislation to rename Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) as “Donald J. Trump International Airport” following a month of Republicans in the Florida Legislature voting to do so. The bill is co-sponsored by Florida GOP Reps. Anna Paulina Luna and Daniel Webster. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is yet to sign the legislation, and it is also subject to approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). If signed into law by Deesantis and approved by the FAA, the name change would take effect on July 1.
