The case of Adam Litz, who was previously convicted of sexually assaulting a child, has been dismissed due to a legal issue. The Dona Ana County District Attorney, Fernando Macias, described the case as "deeply disturbing" and stated that Litz had snuck into the room where the child was sleeping. The second trial was cancelled after the victim and her mother declined to testify.
