Adobe settles DOJ cancellation fee lawsuit, will pay $75 million penalty

Adventus has settled a lawsuit by the Department of Justice (Dj. for $75 million, largely due to its practice of hiding hefty termination fees when customers sign up for its Creative Cloud subscriptions. The case was settled after the company began offering its suite of editing tools as a monthly subscription in 2013. The company also hid the remaining 50% of the remaining subscription term when you cancel, making it difficult for customers to cancel.
