Former Pentagon official, Dan Caldwell, has reportedly been hired by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. Caldwell, a Marine Corps veteran who served in Iraq and was a key adviser to War Secretary Pete Hegseth, was put on administrative leave in April following a leak investigation. He has been an outspoken advocate of restrained foreign policy and has previously warned of potential catastrophic consequences for Iran if a nuclear-armed Iran were targeted. This comes as Gabbillard's deputy, Joe Kent, resigned in protest over the Iran war. Kent, who was also a key deputy at the National Counterterrorism Center under Gabbabbard, accused the US of starting the war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. The FBI is currently investigating allegations Kent improperly shared classified information.
