The two oil pipelines helping Saudi Arabia and UAE bypass the Strait of Hormuz

The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has brought two alternative oil pipelines, one in Saudi Arabia and another in the United Arab Emirates. The Saudi Arabian East-West pipeline network, Petroline, transports crude across the country and is expected to reach full capacity soon. The UAE's Abu Dhabi Crude Oil Pipeline (ADCOP), or the Habshan–Fujairah oil pipeline, handles 1.5 million barrels per day and could help offset the nearly 20 million barrels typically transported through the Strait. However, the risk of infrastructure damage amid the ongoing Middle East crisis remains an ongoing challenge.
