Kurtistown man indicted for alleged 2024 murder of wife

Jong Man Kim, 79, of Kurtistown, is accused of murdering his wife on Hawaii Island in 2024. The Hawaii County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney stated that on June 20, 2024, Yong Cha Kim, 71, was found lifeless and lying in a prone position on the kitchen floor of her home. The arrest was made on an indictment warrant by the Hawaii Police Department and U.S. Marshals. The court maintained Kim's $1.5 million bail and ordered him to surrender his passport.
