Rümeysa Öztürk, a graduate from Tufts University, will return to Turkey after completing her PHD. She was detained by ICE last year and accused the government of targeting her for co-authorising a pro-Palestinian editorial in the school newspaper. An immigration judge dismissed her removal proceedings earlier this year, stating there was no reason for her to be deported.
