The death of former U.S. House District 13, which includes six Democrats, has shifted the focus of the race to focus on themselves and the other candidates. The winner will face Republican candidate Jonathan James Chavez in a runoff on June 16. The district is heavily Democratic and stretches around the perimeter of Atlanta’s suburbs.
