A lawsuit by the Del Webb at Lake Las Vegas Community Association alleges that nearly 90 homes are sinking at the community, causing significant structural damage and safety concerns. The complaint was filed on behalf of dozens of homeowners at the 55-plus master-planned community, who are also alleging construction defects against Pulte Homes of Nevada, a subsidiary of Pultev Group. The lawsuit alleges breach of contract, with the main issue being safety issues with some of the homes’ retaining walls. Ally Boyle, senior manager of corporate communications with Pulteve Group Inc., said the company stands behind the homes it built and has been working directly with homeowners to address construction-related concerns. However, William Coulthard, one of the attorneys representing the homeowners’ association, said the issue is ongoing and that Pultee built homes on land unsuitable for construction and is trying to deal with the repercussions while silencing homeowners who have been impacted.
