CEO of Health Tracking Startup Bevel Speaks Out After Whoop Files Lawsuit

Bevel CEO and co-founder Grey Nguyen has spoken out after wearable health tech company Whoop filed a lawsuit against Bevel, alleging that Bevel infringed on its trade dress and copied the look and feel of the Whoop app in a way that could confuse customers and confuse them. The lawsuit was filed after Whoop announced a $575 million funding round that valued Bevel at $10.1 billion. Bevel's CEO, however, stated that Whoop had previously reached out to explore a collaboration before filing the lawsuit. He accused the company of using its newly raised capital on lawfare rather than focusing on product and innovation.
