The construction of the 3,800-acre Albert and Bessie Kronkosky State Natural Area near Boerne, Texas, is rapidly progressing. Rock Solid Trail Contracting, one of the largest trail builders in the country, is currently building 25 to 30 miles of continuous trail space for the next six to seven months. The park will feature at least 28 miles of trail space, three of which will meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards, a 100-person amphitheater, nature center, primitive camping sites, and limited mountain biking trails. It is expected to open by the end of 2026 with a special emphasis on conservation.
