The lives behind the 13 US troops killed in the Iran war, including Maj. John 'Alex' Klinner, who was killed alongside five crew members on a US Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker refueling aircraft when it crashed in western Iraq on March 12. Klinners was one of 13 troops killed during Operation Epic Fury, the name the Pentagon has given to the war with Iran. Other service members were killed following an Iranian strike in Kuwait's Shuaiba port and an attack by Iran on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. Approximately 400 service members have been wounded in action during the operation, with 90% returning to duty.
