Nevada law guides submission of written petitions

A homeowner is petitioning to remove all board members in her community, stating that since her dues have increased, she wants all the members removed. According to Nevada law, the petition must be signed by at least 10 percent or lower in the bylaws of the total number of voting members. A hearing was held with a four board member panel, but the board sided with the resident who made the threat. This decision could be perceived as biased as three of the board members are related to the accused. If necessary, an appeal can be made to the board.
