Enid, Oklahoma, surveys damage after massive tornado tears through city

More than a dozen reported tornadoes tore through part of the Central U.S. on Thursday night, including a powerful storm in northwestern Oklahoma that triggered a tornado emergency. The National Weather Service confirmed a "large and destructive tornado" in Enid, Oklahoma, near Vance Air Force Base, which prompted a life-threatening situation. The agency warned that significant damage to homes, businesses, and vehicles is likely and potentially complete destruction is possible. Search-and-rescue operations are underway in "hard-hit" areas and there are reports of 10 to 11 people with minor injuries. There are still several active tornado warnings along a line of dangerous storms stretching from Oklahoma to Missouri.
