Live Nation Employee Mocks ‘Stupid’ Customers, Says Price-Gouging Is ‘Robbing Them Blind’ in Incendiary Internal Messages

Newly released court records show Live Nation Entertainment employees mocking customers and bragging about "price gouging" customers. The internal messages, which were shared on the platform Slack between 2021 and 2023, were featured in a new filing by government lawyers. In one exchange, Live Nation's Ben Baker and Jeff Weinhold, who were in charge of ticketing for venues in Florida and Virginia at the time, discussed their prices for "ancillary fees" like parking. In another, Baker bragged about charging Live Nation customers $50 to park in the grass and $60 for closer grass. The company responded by stating that these messages do not reflect their values or how they operate.
