The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (Massachusetts) has launched a statewide "Kick the Drive" campaign to reduce traffic and keep people moving safely during the seven FIFA World Cup matches being held in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The campaign includes urging commuters to avoid driving and use public transportation on match days, when major traffic increases are expected. All seven matches will be held at Gillette Stadium during the tournament, with several games scheduled during peak afternoon and evening commute times. The MBTA Commuter Rail will operate up to 14 trains per match, offering an alternative to driving. Additionally, the campaign is working with municipalities, employers, and regional partners to encourage flexible work schedules and increased use of public transit.
