NASA's IXPE Gets Fresh Look at Supernova - NASA

NASA's IXPE (Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer) mission has taken a new observation of a supernova, RCW 86, which was released on March 24, 2026. The image combines data from both NASA's Chandra and the ESA's XMM-Newton telescopes. This observation helps provide a clearer picture of what other telescopes have seen.
