A bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security (TSA) failed to advance in the Senate, leading to delays in flight and parking at Portland International Airport. Most of the essential TSA employees working without pay during the government funding lapse. Nonprofits like World Central Kitchen are providing food to unpaid TSA employees. If the DHS funding is not approved soon, President Donald Trump is threatening to send ICE agents into airports as soon as Monday.
