4Warn Weather Alert: Gusty winds, storms & snow showers all in the next 36 hours in Metro Detroit

A 4Warn Weather Alert remains in effect for Southeastern Michigan for the next 36 hours, with a Wind Advisory in effect until 12:00 AM (Midnight) Monday Morning due to the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms. The National Weather Service has placed the entire region under a Marginal Risk (1 out of 5) on our severe weather scale. A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for Sanilac County, MI until 11:00am Sunday Morning, with 1 to 3 inches of snow expected through late Sunday morning. A Wind Advisory is also in effect, with sustained winds expected to be around 15-25 MPH throughout the day, with gusts as high as 45-50 MPH expected. The Storm Prediction Center has placed a "Marginal Risk" on the severe weather warning scale. The weather pattern for the second half of next week is expected to remain largely tranquil, with temperatures expected to warm up into the mid-50s, but temperatures will only reach the 20s on Tuesday morning.
