Berry Henderson, 37, was attacked by a dog and stabbed to death by several men on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on May 20. The unprovoked attack occurred near a bus stop near Hollywood Boulevard and Las Palmas Avenue. Henderson managed to stab the dog in self-defence after a dog began chasing him and aggressively biting him. The attackers, one of whom was the dog's owner, rushed over to attack Henderson with a machete. The victim's cousin, Sharon Grimes, expressed surprise that no bystanders were immediately called to help. Los Angeles Police Department officers were able to arrest three suspects and identify the fourth suspect.
