Insurance broker Aon profit jumps on risk management strength

Insurance spending has remained resilient as individuals and businesses prioritise coverage against risks such as natural disasters and cyber crime. Revenue from Aon's risk capital arm, which helps clients manage risk effectively, rose by 9.7% to $3.50 billion in the same period. The company's adjusted net income for the quarter ended March 31, up from $1.25 billion a year earlier. Other insurers including Marsh McLennan and Willis Towers Watson also reported strong growth.
