Shaquille Coke, a 31-year-old man from Brooklyn, has been arraigned on grand jury charges related to the 2021 Elmont Acid Attack. The district attorney alleges that Coke was the ex-boyfriend of Nafiah Ikram, who was attacked on the night of the attack on Mar. 17, 2021. If convicted, Coke could face up to 25 years in prison. Prosecutors allege that Coke and his high school friend, Terrell Campbell, threw 70% sulfuric acid at Ikram and then sent her violent messages after the attack. Both men have pleaded guilty to all four charges.
