Luna moves to oust Swalwell from House over assault allegations

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Florida) has announced she plans to file a motion to expel California Rep. Eric Swalwell from Congress after allegations of sexual assault have surfaced that he sexually assaulted a former staffer twice when she was too drunk to consent. The Republican lawmaker has called these allegations "false," despite calls from Democratic leaders and others for him to abandon his bid for governor. Luna has also led calls to expel another Democrat, Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-Florida), who was found guilty of numerous ethics violations related to campaign finance.
