Aptera Motors, a vehicle startup out of Carlsbad, California, plans to start mass production of its solar-powered, three-wheeled vehicles in 2026. The company has significantly increased its operations since July 2025, with the launch of the Launch Edition models and a new 12-step manufacturing process in place. The launch of these vehicles has led to increased interest in suppliers and financial backers.
