America’s Birth Trend Sparks Alarm As A Controversial Slice Nears 1 In 10

The Pew Research Center has reported that nearly 260,000 babies born to an illegal alien mother would not qualify for citizenship if President Donald Trump's executive order ending birthright citizenship had already been in place. The data also revealed that 60,000 of the babies were born to illegal immigrant mothers with fathers who were living in the United States legally. The remaining 245,000 were born from mothers and fathers who had no legal statues in the US. Despite this, the support for the executive order is mostly from Republicans. The administration argues that the original meaning of the citizenship clause should not apply to babies born of parents who are either in the U.S. temporarily or unlawfully.
