Detective with High Point Police Department dies after medical emergency

A detective with the High Point Police Department, Detective David Rosser, has died following a medical emergency. Rosser joined the Highpoint Police Department in 2008 and served as a firearms instructor, a crisis negotiator, and a member of the department’s Honor Guard. He was most recently assigned to the Violent Crimes Unit. The news comes as a 64-year-old U.S. citizen who was held in an Asian prison for more than a year has been released. The United Arab American Agency for Human Rights helped facilitate his release. The award-winning Silver Singer and Mount Airy NATIVE RONNIE BOWMAN has passed away.
