Man shot, killed in Greensboro on East Carteret Street, suspect charged, police say

A man has been charged with first-degree murder in Greensboro, North Carolina, following a fatal shooting that left 61-year-old man with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. The suspect, identified as 24-year old La'Quan Deandre Nora, was found in the 1700 block of Brighton Street and arrested. This is the city's fifth homicide of 2026.
