British creator Steven Knight has revealed that he is working on a new generation of the Peaky Blinders, the 20th-century Birmingham crime gang led by Cillian Murphy. The series, which first premiered on BBC Two 13 years ago, is set to be explored in the Netflix movie The Immortal Man, which also had a brief theatrical run. The film, directed by Tom Harper, revisits the Peaka Blinders at a time when Europe was facing a villain more sinister than Sam Neill's Inspector Campbell or Adrien Brody's Luca Changretta: Hitler. Knight's main character, Tommy Shelby, is driven by a desire to stop German-made counterfeit banknotes from entering Britain and thereby losing the war. The cast includes Sophie Rundle, Packy Lee, and Stephen Graham.
