Bay Area man accused of killing wife, mother-in-law also charged in LA murder: prosecutors

Howard Wang, a 43-year-old man from Walnut Creek, California, has been charged with murdering his wife, Linlin Guo, and her mother, Beimin Cheng in 2025. He is also being charged with the alleged murder of Chengli Li, 41, who was shot dead in Los Angeles County in June 2024. Prosecutors allege that Wang and Demarques James Pearl killed Li because he was involved with Wang's girlfriend, Yan Wang. Yan Wang was charged with being an accessory after the fact and first-degree residential burglary, both felonies, and misdemeanor destroying evidence. If convicted, Howard Wang faces up to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
