JetBlue Airways has announced plans to expand its presence at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport by adding Cleveland to its schedule, along with additional flights to multiple U.S. and Caribbean destinations. The airline plans to have added flights to 21 cities and has increased its daily flights from Fort Lauderdale by nearly 32 departures in the past year. The new service to Cleveland will start on July 8 with one flight daily. JetBlue members of its "TrueBlue" loyalty program will receive 2,500 bonus points if they book by Sunday. The additions come as JetBlue and other carriers at the airport experienced double-digit flight delays due to ongoing Transportation Security Administration staffing shortages.
