Trump Rewards Big Tech's Biggest Bootlickers With Seats on AI Policy Board

The White House has announced the new members of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST), a board first established under President George W. Bush. The board is comprised of individuals who have publicly profited from their positions to gain closer to President Donald Trump. However, Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla, was conspicuously absent from the list. The PCAST is co-chaired by David Sacks, Trump’s AI and crypto czar, and Michael Kratsios, the chief technology officer of the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy. It is unclear what the board will be doing in the coming year.
