A person has died in a shooting at a house east of downtown Indianapolis, according to police. Medics and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the scene 9:20 p.m. July 30, 2025, for a report of a person being shot in the first block of Hendricks Place. The address is for a house in the State Plaza addition located north of East Washington Street and east of State Avenue. It was not immediately known if the area was safe or what may have led to the shooting or who was shot.
