‘Our own voice’ Knoxville Mayor’s Youth Council holds Mental Health Summit

The Knoxville Mayor's Youth Council held a mental health summit to encourage a conversation about the need for help. This is the fourth annual Youth Mayor's Council Summit, which aims to empower the next generation of leaders to make a difference on issues that matter most. Evelyn Quinn, one of the fifteen members of the council, said it's important to create an environment where youth can voice their voices and improve quality of life in Knoxville. The summit was coordinated with the Knoxville Office of Community Safety and Empowerment. The goal is for tomorrow's future leaders to get help they need today.
