Man Was Drunk In Route 9 Crash That Killed Nursing Assistant, Prosecutor Says

Daniel T. Cormier, 31, has been charged with vehicular homicide and strict liability vehicular homicides in the March 7 crash that killed 37-year-old Shamirah Nolan. The crash occurred on the way to work on Route 9 in Toms River, New Jersey, when Cormier veered off the road, hit a guardrail and hit Nolan's Honda head-on. Police responded to the scene and found Cormier appearing impaired and his blood was drawn under a search warrant at the hospital.
