A 14-year-old Pennsylvania girl has been hospitalized after attempting the "fire-breathing" challenge, which involves drinking isopropyl alcohol and attempting to "breathe fire" across her face, neck and chest. The stunt backfired and resulted in severe burns across 8% of her body. She is now being treated at the University Of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Wilmerding Fire Marshal Al Hussey warned that the girl could have died due to the dangers of the stunt. The incident is part of a wider trend of dangerous online challenges, particularly among teens and tween social media users.
