Several low-pressure systems and cold fronts are expected to approach Texas through the weekend, increasing humidity and moisture. The weather team is monitoring multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms both Saturday and Sunday, with the highest chances in northern areas like the Brazos Valley and Piney Woods. The potential rainfall is expected to significantly increase the risk of severe storms. This is particularly timely as drought conditions have led to burn bans across 14 counties in southeast Texas. The temperature will remain in the 80s, but the difference will be more clouds, humidity, and rain chances.
